Why does my Litter-Robot keep saying the drawer is full? ›

Check for obstructions blocking the drawer full indicator (DFI) sensors. There are two sensors inside the base, above where the waste drawer would sit. Debris, such as dust or cat fur, can interfere with the DFI sensor. This can cause the unit to inaccurately trigger a drawer-full indication.

Short press the Reset button, then short press the Cycle button to run a Clean cycle. Check your app to ensure that the waste drawer level displayed is accurate. Successful: If your waste drawer gauge is accurate (within 5%), you've been successful.

The OmniSense system helps track litter and waste drawer levels. During each clean cycle, the DFI (drawer full indicator) sensor, positioned on the bezel, measures the level of waste in the drawer as the waste disposal opening in the globe passes over the waste drawer.

For one average-sized cat, you'll need to empty the waste drawer about once per week, and for two cats, twice every 7-10 days is typical. To change the drawer liner in Litter-Robot 3 (with or without Connect), simply pull out the drawer, unhook the edges of the liner, and dispose.

To reconnect your unit, re-enable the connection by pressing the Connect button once to turn the WIFI off, indicated by a white Connect LED. Then, press the Connect button a 2nd time to reestablish the connection. The Connect LED will begin flashing blue again but should change to solid blue after a few seconds.

Press the Reset button to zero the Weight Scale after doing anything that affects the unit's weight, such as adding litter or emptying the Waste Drawer. Press Reset firmly and quickly, then watch for the blue Light Bar to flash to confirm you have zeroed the Weight Scale.

We recommend that you change the Litter-Robot 3 carbon filter or Litter-Robot 4 carbon filter every month depending on how frequently your Litter-Robot gets used.

OmniSense™ also supports the SafeCat system, which continuously analyzes four safety zones to ensure your cat is always safe. There are three sensors located in the top of the bezel, as well as a cat sensor weight scale located in the base of the unit.

IMPORTANT: Any time you do anything that affects the weight or placement of the unit, including adding or removing litter, emptying the waste drawer, or moving or cleaning the unit, press the Reset button once you are done.

As the globe rotates clockwise, litter will fall through the waste port and into the waste drawer. During an Empty cycle, press the Cycle, Reset, Empty, or Connect button to pause the cycle. Press the Cycle button to resume the cycle. Press the Reset button to abort the cycle and return the globe to the Home position.
